This week has been a hard one - and if it is possible to be behind in every aspect of your life, I am. This week I talked about family and friends, deep friendship, impostor syndrome, IGTV addition, a podcast suggestion, and why libraries are cool.
From a Productive Flourishing newsletter - a reminder from Maya Angelou: It is always about the work. In the latter years of your life, your happiness and your self-esteem will be determined by the mountains you surmounted, the valleys you climbed out of, and the life and/ or career that you forged for yourself. MAYA ANGELOU, Rainbow in the Cloud
Impostor syndrome - I even had to do research to find out if it was impostor or imposter so I didn’t have an impostor episode (here’s what I learned).
Wakelet with links to Impostor Syndrome Articles If you are looking for a quick catch-up on the latest in social media news check out the Social Media Marketing Talk Show. They are where I learned about changes to IGTV that allow you to have your videos organized into seasons for easy binge-watching. I just started reading The Happy Professor. I’ll let you know how it goes - but the price of the ebook ($24!!!) reminded me of how important libraries are. Go check yours out - and don’t forget to see what services they have online and in-person. Episode seven closed out with one of my favorite poems. It was a stretch for me to read it out loud - because that is not the sort of thing I usually do. I tripped on a few words, but I resisted the urge to re-record (and probably re-re-re-record) to get it perfect. I hope you enjoy. Maya Angelou’s Phenomenal Woman: You can read it here.
